Acceptable Use Policy

What is and is not allowed when you use Mailoza — with a firm stance on spam and a requirement to send only with consent.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Mailoza — a brand operated by Ozavion Limited — and the email services and infrastructure we provide (the "Services"). It protects our customers, our infrastructure, email recipients and the wider internet, and it protects the sending reputation that keeps legitimate email in the inbox. This AUP forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Data Processing Agreement. If you break it, we may act under the "Monitoring and enforcement" section below.

1. Send only with consent

Email sent through Mailoza must go only to recipients who have given you valid, demonstrable consent to receive it, or with whom you have another lawful basis to communicate (such as an existing customer relationship within the limits allowed by law). You are responsible for maintaining records of how and when consent was obtained. You must make it easy to unsubscribe, honour every opt-out promptly, and stop sending to anyone who has withdrawn consent, complained, or repeatedly bounced.

2. No spam or unsolicited bulk email

You must not use the Services to send spam or unsolicited bulk or commercial email. In particular, you must not:

  • send unsolicited bulk email, or any message to recipients who have not consented;
  • use purchased, rented, scraped, harvested or otherwise third-party lists where you cannot show valid consent;
  • use false, forged or misleading header information, sender names, "from" or "reply-to" addresses, or deceptive subject lines;
  • conceal or misrepresent your identity, or the origin of a message, or omit a clear and working way to unsubscribe;
  • continue mailing recipients after they opt out, or carry out list-bombing or subscription-form abuse against others.

3. Prohibited content

You must not use the Services to send, host or link to content that:

  • is unlawful under UK law, or infringes the intellectual-property or other rights of any person;
  • is phishing, fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to impersonate another person or organisation;
  • distributes malware, ransomware, spyware or any other harmful code;
  • is child sexual abuse material, or promotes terrorism, violence, or unlawful discrimination or harassment;
  • relates to activities we reasonably judge to carry a high risk of abuse or legal harm without proper authorisation.

4. Deliverability and sending conduct

Because email reputation is shared, your sending affects others. You must:

  • send only from domains you are authorised to use, and keep valid email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) in place for them;
  • not spoof, forge or send on behalf of domains you do not control;
  • keep bounce, spam-complaint and unsubscribe rates within reasonable industry norms, and practise good list hygiene;
  • warm up new sending volumes responsibly and not send at rates that threaten the stability of shared infrastructure;
  • not attempt to evade spam filters, rate limits, or the reputation systems of mailbox providers.

5. Security and infrastructure

You must not: attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account or data; operate an open relay or open proxy; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems or others' without written permission; or take any action that degrades, disrupts or threatens the security or stability of the Services or the wider network. You are responsible for keeping your own credentials and sending configuration secure.

6. Compliance with law

You must comply with all laws that apply to your messaging, including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as well as equivalent rules in the countries you send to. You are responsible for the lawfulness of your content, your consent model, and your handling of recipient data.

7. Monitoring and enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches of this AUP and monitor sending patterns and abuse signals to protect the Services and others. Where necessary, and in line with your service agreement, we may throttle, filter, suspend or restrict sending, or suspend or terminate the Services. We will try to contact you first and give you a chance to put things right, but we may act immediately where there is a serious or ongoing risk — for example active spam, phishing, a security threat, or damage to shared reputation.

8. Reporting abuse

If you believe email sent through Mailoza breaches this AUP, or you want to report a security concern, email . We take abuse reports seriously and investigate them promptly.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP as the Services, the threat landscape, or the law change. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be communicated to customers where appropriate.
